Did you ever notice how we put beads into sherbet glasses, dessert dishes, candy jars and the like? There's a reason for that: Beads look like candy...all the fascination without the calories! So you can stick to your promises to shun sweets and still have something yummy.

A Day of Rest...

We'll be closed on Friday, December 26th, Boxing Day. Not to box, but maybe to bead. See you Saturday December 27th. Then we're taking a hibernation vacation till January 6th. See you next year, on Tuesday!

Bead of the Month: Czech Pressed & Faceted Glass

These are some of the most unusual and complementary beads you'll see this season! Lots of warm, earthy colors mixed with jewel-like greens, blues and ambers.There's much more to see on the website- some details of the samples we just unpacked and priced.

Of course, the best thing to do is to come down and pick up a handful and get inspired. We're open Mondays in December to make it even easier!

Let's Get Beading!

Ok, it's a lot to think about: making new jewelry, all those gifts you're going to make for family and friends- maybe even something really special for yourself. But this is the time to think about signing up for classes. A handmade gift is unlike any other. The person who receives it will remember that you put designed and created it just for her.


So here's the new class schedule. For Christmas and beyond- into the cold winter, we'll keep you warm with a bead board on your lap!

Post Trunk Show Madness

The trunk show was a great success! Lots of new beads- including some beautiful stones it took a while to identify, and lots of great inspiration! Ok, so now we want to know: What are your personal favorite beads and stones? What would you like to see in a trunk show?

We're always plotting and planning news ways to share our love of beads and jewelry-making with you. So tell us what you pine for, or just what would make get out of your comfy chair and venture out in the cold to buy some beady supplies!

The trunk show, a week of wonderful beads that will intrigue and inspire you- has just begun! We have a few more days, through Saturday 11/22- and we'll be open every one of them to give you extra time to come see the stash. You're Going to Love the TRUNK SHOW!

For ONE week- Starting Saturday November 15 to Saturday November 22 you'll be dazzled by THOUSANDS of new beads- a treasure trove of a TRUNK SHOW at the shop at 55 Poquonock Avenue Windsor.

We don't have pictures yet: the beads will be arriving in the next few days via magic carpet- but we don't think you'll be disappointed. Come by and see!

We'll be open extra hours during the TRUNK SHOW: EVERY DAY- SUNDAY & MONDAY too!
